What is a crypto payment gateway?

A crypto payment gateway lets a business accept payment in cryptocurrency — typically stablecoins like USDT that track the US dollar — and receive the value as ordinary money. The customer pays on-chain from their wallet; the merchant gets settled, ideally in their local currency, with no exposure to crypto price swings.

Rapid Gateway is building this for Pakistan as an additional method inside the same checkout that already handles cards, Raast and wallets. It is in active development and will launch in line with Pakistan's evolving virtual-asset regulation. In the meantime, see every method we accept today.

Why accept crypto in Pakistan

For exporters, freelancers and online sellers with global customers, crypto opens a payment lane that traditional rails make slow and expensive.

Sell to a global audience

Accept payment from customers worldwide who prefer to pay in crypto — no card network and no cross-border bank friction in the way of the sale.

Stablecoin stability

The rollout leads with USDT and major stablecoins, which track the US dollar — so you go on-chain without the price swings of assets like Bitcoin.

Lower cross-border fees

On-chain settlement can undercut the fees and FX spreads merchants pay on traditional international card and bank-wire rails.

Fast on-chain settlement

Blockchain transfers confirm in minutes rather than the multi-day cycle of an international wire — so you can fulfil orders sooner.

Designed to settle in PKR

Built so you can accept crypto and receive rupees in your local bank account, keeping crypto price risk off your books. Final options confirmed at launch.

One checkout, every method

Crypto will sit beside cards, Raast, JazzCash and easypaisa in the same Rapid Gateway checkout — one integration, one dashboard, one settlement.
